Summer Trips!

My family took a weekend trip to My Aunt & Uncle's beautiful Lake house near Mt. Gilead, Oh.  We swam in the lake, ate good food, canoed, played with water guns, and more.  We had such a great time!  Molly absolutely loves the water and even had her first taste of sand :0)

Love this picture of me, Brian and Molly
We had so much fun shooting each other with water guns!

I canoed for the first time - it's harder than I thought!
My Brother got some sweet shots of Molly!

First time on a swing, too!

Molly and I were able to take a couple day trip down to Parkersburg to visit some family.  I was so glad Molly finally got to meet my grandparents and get to know her cousins a little better. Nanny and Papaw got her a special cookie cake for her birthday and we even got to visit cousin Seth at work.  We had a great time.

Aunt Theresa's necklace was a tangled mess, but Molly had so much fun with it!
Cousin Seth chased Molly around everywhere, they had a blast
I loved bringing Molly to my grandparent's home, where I have so many great memories growing up.  I can't wait to take her back again!

Molly's First Birthday!

We can't believe it's been a whole year since Molly came into our lives!  She is such a blessing, and she gets more fun every day.  It's so neat to watch her learn and grow, and see her own personality start to form.  She's now walking everywhere on her own, says "uh, oh", "hi", "dada", and "mama".  She can also do sign language for "more" and "eat", and loves to wave "bye-bye".  Here's some pictures from her first Birthday party!

We did an owl theme, and I made these cupcakes, turned out really cute I think!

Molly enjoying her cupcake!

She went right into the bathtub after this :0)
(and right down for a nap after her bath!)
Checking out her new ride from Nana
Gramie made her a special Sesame Street/Muppets quilt!
So many adorable new clothes, including another special collection
from Aunt Julie and Uncle Tom

 Yummy Food
Special thanks to everyone to came to her party or sent gifts and cards!  She is a very blessed little girl.  We're looking forward to what this next year has in store for us!

On the 4th of July, we took Molly to see her first fireworks.  She loved them!

Wow I can't believe I haven't updated our blog since January!  Obviously we've been busy, but having tons of fun along the way.  We've had some changes over the past few months...I left my full time job at the Physical Therapy Clinic in April, and now work VERY part time from home and continue to see a couple of my Personal Training clients.  Other than that, we've been totally blessed for me to be able to spend most of every day with Molly!  John left the Boy Scouts in March and accepted a new position at a company in Cleveland called Dealer Tire as an Inside Sales Account Manager.  He is really enjoying his new path in his work as well!

Molly is growing so fast!  We can hardly believe she is going to be a year old next month.  She is now crawling everywhere and exploring everything.  We've had to baby-proof our place to make it safe for her.  She's been testing us to see what she can get away with touching...I hope her next word isn't "no, no" because she hears it so often :0).  She says "Da-da-da" and other gibberish, and has started to say, "uh-oh".  She also knows the sign for "more".  We've been working on saying "mama", signing other words, and how to point to her nose, ears, etc.

Here's a couple of pictures from the past few months...

So pretty in her new Easter Dress
I thought her expression was so cute in this picture!
These ears only stayed on about 10 seconds, long enough
for me to snap a picture
All those goodies in her Easter basket and she loved chewing on the
                                               plastic eggs, go figure...

On Memorial Day every year we get together with a bunch of our friends for a big picnic.  There's a burger and hot dog making contest, and this year John won the Hot Dog contest for his "Triple Dog Dare" hot dogs.  He won a gold pair of tongs as a "trophy", haha!  This is on of my new favorite pictures of her that our friend Ryan took at the picnic.  It's the first time I think she's actually starting to look like me!  Up until now I see all John :0)

John's sister Julie and her fiancĂ© Tom got married on June 3rd at Maumee Bay State Park.  The weather and venue were beautiful (and so was the bride, of course!).  It was a great weekend celebrating and spending time with family. We're so happy for Julie and Tom as they start their married life together!

                                                          Beautiful!

We took Molly to Cedar Point last weekend and she loved it.  We took her on the boat, train, and carousel, and won her her first Cedar Point stuffed animal.  She also got to try CP's famous french fries and mini corn dogs.  We stayed for the light show/fireworks that night and she loved that too!  We're looking forward to taking her back when she can ride more rides and experience Cedar Point like we did as kids.

She looked a little overwhelmed looking into the entrance of the park

All the excitement wore her out!

                                                 First carousel ride!

We're excited for Molly to experience more new things this summer, I'll try to take some good pictures and share them on here.  We can't believe she'll be a year old next month, we're looking forward to her first birthday!
