Welcome 2011
Well, I know it's been months since I've updated, so there's lots to update. Molly is 6 month old now! We'll have her 6 month appointment this week, so we'll find out how much she weighs, how tall she is, and get her next round of shots. Since our last post, we had Molly's Baby Dedication and celebrated her first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, with lots of fun & exciting stuff in-between! Molly can now sit up on her own, loves playing on the floor with her toys, and has started eating rice cereal and strained fruits and veggies! (Bananas and apples are her favorite!) She continues to be an amazing baby, such a joy and blessing to everyone she comes in contact with. Here's some pictures of what we've been up to...
Molly's Dedication at Calvary Temple Church in Sandusky on Sunday October 24, 2010

We were so thankful for all the friends and family that came to share in the special day. We had a special lunch at Chet & Matt's after the service.
Gettin' some love from Uncle Brian...
...and Gramie
Even Sparky came to join the fun!

This was the first year that we did something a little different for Thanksgiving Dinner. For as long as I can remember, we've gone to Sawmill Creek in Huron. This year we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house and we all brought food. It was a lot of fun, and it was neat to have a traditional "at-home" Thanksgiving dinner (complete with left-overs!)
4 generations of Hartlaubs...Grandma Connie, Dad (Grampie), me, & Molly
Super cute outfit from Aunt Julie
Chillin' with Aunt Sara
Thanksgiving morning with Super Aunt Sissy...love her!
Molly's first Christmas was a super success! She got to meet Santa and got so many nice gifts from family and friends. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who gave and sent gifts, and for helping to make Molly's first Christmas so special!
I snapped this picture of Molly in the tu-tu that I made her. Caught a perfect smile!

All ready to see Santa in her Santa outfit from Gramie & Grampie
I love the look on her face in these pictures with Santa. Wish I knew what was going through her mind...
Christmas Eve - all bundled up in her Christmas Jammies
So many gifts!
Playing with Uncle Brian Christmas morning
Cuddling with Kassidy (my best friend Karla's little girl).
She's had lots of practice with her brothers and cousins!
Molly's room is finally complete, as I finished the wooden letters for her wall above the changing table. They turned out really cute.

Playing with her BFF Abby (Ryan and Nikki's daughter, who just turned 1 yr old on Dec 26)
Every year on New Years Eve we get together with a bunch of friends and have a costume party. This year the costume theme was super heros/super villains. John was Gru from "Despicable Me", and Molly was a minion. If you've seen the movie, she looks just like the character!
Our first attempt at rice cereal with a spoon...didn't go very well, but we kept trying and now she's doing great with cereal and stage 1 fruits and veggies.
Molly has been a great sleeper from about 6 weeks old, but that started to change as soon as she started to get teeth (her 2 bottom ones are in already!). As soon as she figured she can roll over onto her tummy to sleep, she's back to sleeping like a champ. Mommy and daddy are so thankful for that!!
She's doing great sitting up by herself, here she's watching Veggie Tales, and she loves it! She just squeals and talks the whole time it's on. Molly's room is finally complete, as I finished the wooden letters for her wall above the changing table. They turned out really cute.
John took Molly and some friend's kids to the zoo on her 6 month b-day. There was lots to do inside since it was so cold outside. She slept through a lot of it but she loves the stuffed monkey he got her to remember her first trip to the zoo :0) (Notice her zebra-striped pants)
Molly is such a blessing and such a happy baby. It's hard to remember our life without her, and it's so exciting to watch her grow and change. We grow more in love with her everyday!
